Hierarchy Exercises By Juan Diaz

Hierarchy 1

For the first design of Hierarchy contrasting weight or also known as Bold I decide to bold the more important information of the information. Most being the location of the gallery, the title, the date and the tagline. As for the formation of the lines and words I aligned them in the middle but the location of the school I put it to side vertically making the design more appealing.

Hierarchy 2

For hierarchy 2 was contrasting scale. Scale makes objects appear smaller or bigger compared to other objects. For scale I changed the size of the words/sentence mainly the title and the tagline bigger. I did these two to make them more important to focus on.

Hierarchy 3

Hierarchy 3 or the use of contrasting color is used in the design to making it more colorful and can help influence people to be more interesting of the design or text. For the grey coloring I colored the date, the name of the gallery, and the location of the gallery since they are important information of the design and text. I used the center alignment on the design to make it look organized and understandable.

Hierarchy 4

For Hierarchy 4 which is left and right alignment for contrasting alignment I decide to move some of the lines/sentence to the left and some to the right. In the design it shows as if it is moving from left to right.

Hierarchy 5
Hierarchy 5 was to show upper/lower case for contrasting case. For this design I uppercased the Title, the tagline and the name of the gallery. The rest of it is lowercase. To make the design more interesting I put the tagline in the middle diagonally to divide the information up to make the viewer or the reader see more about it.

Hierarchy 6

For contrasting space I spaced out the line from Information Technology High School. Contrasting space is placing something far away from the rest creates contrast in space. As in the design I separated the schools name for everything else including the title. This shows spacing in the design and the text to make it more interesting and appealing for the viewer to see.
