Gridded Concert Poster By Juan Diaz

Image
For my Gridded Concert poster I created a poster for the Blacklite District, a rock artist. For the Title of the poster BLACKLITE DISTRICT I made the color/swatches of the title a color gradient from white to black. I originally was going to have the title in one whole line which would go from white to black in the middle then white. But I changed my mind to have it under each other. Also for each element I added either a underline or a box around the information. I did this to make it more visible and standout. For my design I broke the grid 2 times .I broke the grid for the tagline which is 1990 and for the pricing element of the grid, specifically the $50 by putting it in the middle of the text box. For the Location I decided on Yankee Stadium to it being big location and it was small enough to fit in the poster is a straight line. As for the font of this whole design I used 2 which is the font Impact and the font Adobe Garamond Pro Regular. The images is the T lo...

Hierarchy on Grid                                       By Juan Diaz                                              Grid 1                    For the first design, Grid 1 I tried to make the text look like a staircase going one direction. I also made it readable for top left to bottom right. As for the title I made it next to the top left to make easier to understand were to start reading. I then put the rest of the information at the bottom to have a sense of space in between them. Grid 2 For design 2, Grid 2 I made the placeholder text to the left side startin...

Hierarchy Exercises By Juan Diaz

Hierarchy Exercises By Juan Diaz Hierarchy 1 For the first design of Hierarchy contrasting weight or also known as Bold I decide to bold the more important information of the information. Most being the location of the gallery, the title, the date and the tagline. As for the formation of the lines and words I aligned them in the middle but the location of the school I put it to side vertically making the design more appealing. Hierarchy 2 For hierarchy 2 was contrasting scale. Scale makes objects appear smaller or bigger compared to other objects. For scale I changed the size of the words/sentence mainly the title and the tagline bigger. I did these two to make them more important to focus on. Hierarchy 3 Hierarchy 3 or the use of contrasting color is used in the design to making it more colorful and can help influence people to be more interesting of the design or text. For the grey coloring I colored the date, the name of the gallery, an...
